Alright, let's get tactical and nail this like we’re designing a $50M DTC landing page for Agora.
You just asked a killer conversion question that almost nobody talks about:
“How much copy per section, in characters or words, to make a smooth, high-converting scroll experience, with VH-based blocks?”
Let’s break this down clean, objective, and test-ready.
1. The Gold Standard: Scroll Psychology
A long sales page converts if the brain never hits resistance.
Resistance appears when any of these happen:
Too much uninterrupted text
No visual anchor
No pattern change
No off-ramp CTA
No open loop payoff
We fix that with self-contained VH sections that act like “mental landing spots.”
Good conversion pages feel like flipping through a magazine, not reading a term paper.
2. The Rule of Thumb for Copy Per Section
DESKTOP (100vh sections)
Ideal main copy block:
55–110 words
280–650 characters
2–4 short paragraphs or bullets
MOBILE (natural VH scrolling)
Ideal copy block:
80–140 words
400–800 characters
4–7 micro lines
WHY THE DIFFERENCE:
Mobile needs slightly more context because visuals collapse, so copy has to carry the weight.
But both follow one principle:
One idea per section.
Not four. Not 17. ONE.
3. The Section Content Distribution (PRO TEMPLATE)
You want about 18–30 total sections on a full sales page.
Breakdown:
4 intro sections
6 content authority / proof sections
7 offer stack sections
2 FAQ sections
1 final CTA section
That’s it.
You already HAVE too much “bunched content” under HERO. We are about to laser cut it.
4. BLOCK TYPES (Rotation for Scroll Patterns)
Use this sequence repeatedly:
Pure Text Block (white background)
Text + Single Visual (gradient band)
3-Column Icons (light tint background)
Quote / Testimonial (dark band)
CTA Mini Block (white)
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
This keeps the brain LOCKED in micro-reward mode.
5. Background Strategy (underlays & scroll fatigue prevention)
Do NOT do random imagery.
Use a controlled brand rhythm:
White →
Subtle gradient (5–8 percent saturation) →
Solid dark →
White again
This resets the viewer’s visual palate like ginger between sushi pieces.
Recommended rotations:
Solid white: 60 percent
Gradient background: 30 percent
Dark background: 10 percent
SAFE GRADIENT FORMULA (for YFE)
Top: #FFFFFF at 100 percent
Bottom: #0e1f66 at 8–12 percent opacity
Looks clean. Not “crypto bro rave.”

Right now HERO is trying to be the argument AND the offer AND the credibility at once.
This kills mobile.
